Reminder Schedule Explained

When a payment fails, reminders are not sent indefinitely.

They follow a structured timeline.

Retry period

If the card is still valid, we attempt automatic retries over the course of a week.

This gives the bank and account holder time to resolve temporary issues.

Card update reminders

If the card has expired or cannot be charged, we email the pupil asking them to update their details.

If they do not respond, we send up to three reminder emails.

Each reminder includes a secure link so they can resolve the issue immediately.

When reminders stop

After retries and reminder emails have been completed, we stop automated attempts.

At that point, the payment will be clearly marked as failed on your dashboard.

This is your signal that it now needs a direct conversation.
